Treefrog was requested by South Somerset District Council to participate once again in their annual May Fayre in Yeovil.
Only this year there was one very important person also attending.....The Queen.
As part of the Queens diamond jubilee year, Prince Philip and her Royal Majesty spent the morningat the Fayre meeting all those selected stallholders who had been asked to attend and Treefrog was one of the lucky ones.
There were a number of school groups who along with the general public enjoyed climbing the beautiful Oak tree that we had selected. The feedback from the teachers and parents was outstanding. We had put more emphasis on the educational importance of trees within our environment locally and globally, even those schoolchildren who were waiting in the queue were kept busy with word searches, colouring by numbers and then finally quizzed by all instructors to find out how much they had absorbed.
Treefrog would once again like to thank all the team at South Somerset District Council for their hard work in hosting a truly memorable event which we won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
We’re just wondering who the V.I.P. might be next year.....?
